In the mid 1800's many Scottish people arrived in this area.  A good resource is H.E.I.R.S. (Harrow Early Immigrand Research Society who have a website.

I am a descendent of Archibald and Sarah.  I find it interesting that although 160 years have passed, in my family at least, my parents tried to keep Scottish heritage alive.  I remember as a child going with my parents to see the Alexander Brothers and Andy Stewart in concert.  My own daughter was a highland dancer for years.
