I have tried free bmd but have not been able to find when Arthur Edgar Looker  or his wife died or where. Nor have I been able to find Arthur`s mothers name when they got married or when they died.
already given you arthurs parents names. richard looker and caroline susan bryan

Thanks. Can any one give information on Arthur Edgar`s  parents I know his farther`s name was Richard born 1837 and he was an oilman. I would like to know where and when he died when he married and his wife`s name including maiden name, where and when she died also any other children they had.

You will need to check through the censues and find the last one that you can see him alive on ,and thehn check Free BMD for his death soon after that.

Similarly when was the last time you can see him on the census as a single man- and then look for Richard Looker marriages.

Did you purchase your grandad's birth cert to find out his mothers maiden name,or do you actually know it? It'll make looking for them on FREE BMD so much easier!

Wozzle's already given you most of this information.  If you read through the replies already made on this thread then you can find it too.

If you look on FreeBMD then you can find a probable death for Richard in West Ham in 1920, and a probable death for Caroline Susan in Poplar in 1895.

If you look for Richard Looker born 1838 on the 1881 England & Wales Census on familysearch, you can find more children than those already given to you by Wozzle from the 1871 census.
