Wilson of Llandinam
« on: Thursday 01 April 10 18:40 BST (UK) »
It was necessary to contact the National Library of Wales at Aberystwyth with regard to the marriage of Samuel Wilson and Martha Morgan(s).

Samuel Wilson and Martha Morgan married on the 26th, December 1842 in the parish church of Llandinam.
Samuel was a labourer who was residing at Penybank (the home of Evan Ashton) and his father was David Wilson a farmer.
Martha was residing at Gellihir and was the daughter of Edward Morgan , also a farmer.

It was also verified that Jane Hughes is the Mother of Samuel Wilson.

Does anyone have any information on David Wilson?
Does anyone have any information on Jane Hughes?
Is this David Wilson the son of Richard Wilson who married Anne Reynolds?

Any information will be greatly appreciated

If its of any help I have a Wilson who married Rev. William Brown from Llandinam. Their ancestors name was John Brown, of Llay Hall in Gresfod, Denbighshire who died in 1791.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply to my post and apologies for the delay in replying (Easter).

I cannot say if your Wilson will help at this stage, but I note you are researching the Breese family who happen to be in my tree as well!

The Wilson name doesn't seem to be very common in Montgomeryshire. That is the only time I have seen it.

Where are your Breese family from? Quite a lot of them.

Mine are from Llanbrynmair and Llanllwchaiarn.

I think the Llanbrynmair is possibly Mary, dau of William and Mary Breeze

and Samuel Breese, who I think may be the child of William Harding and Bridget Breese.
