Goldrick genealogy
« on: Saturday 03 April 10 18:50 BST (UK) »
I'm a first timer and am seeking info on the family of Thomas Goldrick from Co. Cavan.   Thomas Goldrick was born about 1874 in Cavan and was married to Catherine "Kate" McGaughran. They were probably married around 1900. I found them in the 1911 Census of Ireland in Kill, Cavan along with their 6 children and relative Mary Goldrick.  The children were baptised in the Parish of Crosserlough.
I'm looking for birth and marriage information, plus any info on Catherine McGaughran and Mary Goldrick.

Possible match for the marriage on the pilot search on www.familysearch.org
Thomas Goldrick m. 1900 in Cavan registration district Vol. 3 Page 51
Katharine M Gauran m. 1900 in Cavan registration district Vol 3 page 51.
They appear on the same page in the register & while this is no guarantee they married each other it's a worth a gamble. The cert can be ordered from the GRO office see www.groireland.ie
The marriage cert should give you both father's names & occupations & an address for each at time of marriage. You can hopefully work back from there.
The church records are available on www.irish-roots.ie but can't see amatch for your Thomas & Katharine.

Thank you for this info.  I'll check the GRO site.
