Many thanks. That is very helpful, as cannot be far away from Gideon Yard, Hunslet. a railway property, the family later moved to.

Gideon Yard.

Ivory Street is the road at the top of the view crossing Pottery Field Bridge.

Do you have any street maps of Maltmill-Yard, Lowerhead-Row in about 1867. As always your help is always appreciated.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thank you. I have a photograph of the yard and now know a little more with regards to the history of this region.

Here's a side-by side map view showing Malt Mill Yard centred and zoomed in the left panel, and the right panel showing that it now lies under Sports Direct.

Can you please help me once again. I am looking for 55 George Street, Leeds, in late 1860's. Was it in Hunslet, or central Leeds, near the old hospital.
