Elizabeth Pickering McKnight/Hannah Sutton/Leo Whamboult

I've hit a brick wall trying to trace my gt-gt-gran, Elizabeth Pickering McKnight. Census shows her as born in Whitehaven in 1847, but she had moved away to Middlesbrough by 1869 & there married George Green.
Her marriage certificate shows her father as John McKnight, a miller, but no trace of her birth or earlier census details. 1881 & 1891 census show an aunt, Hannah Sutton, in the household, born 1827 in Workington. Bizarrely, 1911 census shows Leo Whamboult (a property manager in the theatre), born in Hartlepool in 1856, as her brother. No trace of him anywhere either!
If anyone can shed any light on the family, it would be great!

(baby Hannah looks to be ELizabeth's child. She is on 1851 HO107 2437 343 9) with a 40 yr old Betsy McKnight, lodging in Egremont.

The older Hannah (who I am trying to trace to see if she is Aunty Hannah Sutton, and thus confirming this is the right family) married John Nicholson in Whitehaven in 1844 and is with him in 1851 at HO107 2437 394 20, again they are lodgers. She is 25 bn Workington, fitting with Hannah Sutton.

I cant see her in 1861, but there is a Hannah Sutton 46 bn Workington with husband William, in Linthorp Yorkshie in 1871 RG10 4897 41 26.  Which is where she was living in 1881 with Elizabeth green nee McKnight.

So IF I am not on a wild goose chase, Hannah Nic(H)olson married William Suttton between 1851 and 1871 ...

In 1901 he's Leonard WHAMBOULT, S, 42, actor b West Hartlepool - lodging (along with other actors) in a TAYLOR household in Bolton: RG13/3623/90/40.
