Fifer,

Thank you so much for the information on the Yuill family.  I have found some information on Familysearcg.  I will probably ask you for more later this week.  I greatly appreciate your time.  It is so hard to get the Scottish Census in the US and I really want to learn more about my mother's family.

Thank you again!- Kristin (Nutkin) ;D

Hello Angela,
I hoping you can help me with two families in the Newton, Midlothian area. They are David Phillip b 1792, wife Isabella and children Jean b 1830, Elizabeth , 1827, James b 1825 and Alexander b 1822.  There is also a son, David b 1815 and wife Janet and their children Elizabeth b 1838 and Mark b 1840.

If you can give me any details either with the 1841 or 1851 census, that would be much appreciated.  Thank you

Karenn ::)

Fifer,

After all your fantastic help with my Yuill family, I am going to ask about my Cochrane family.  I would like to find Michael Cochrane and wife Margaret Young Cochrane in the 1841 and 1851 Census.  They had a daughter born in 1839 in High Church, Paisley, Renfrew.  So I am assuming they were still residing there.  The pickle is Michael was born in Stewarton, Renfrewshire and Margaret were born and they married in Loudoun, Ayreshire.  So they might be in Ayreshire.

Thank you for all your help!- Nutkin ;D

Fifer,

I do not think these are my Cochranes.

Here is a bit more to narrow it down.  I have a marriage license of Michael and Margaret Cochrane's daughter,Janet,  from 1860.  Michael Cochrane is alive and his occupation is a light porter.  Janet Cochrane(the daughter) was born in High Church, Paisley ,Renfrew in 1839.  The marriage certificate is for High Church, Paisley, Renfrew in 1860.  I am assuming that they still lived there and Michael was alive.  The wife was born in 1805 in Loudoun, Ayr and I blieve but not sure that Michael was born in Renfrewshire.

I greatly appreciate your work.  Let me know if you need more details that can assist you.- Nutkin ;)
