Uniform ID please

Have no idea where this relation was in the war effort, as we were never told anything about him, so any info gratefully accepted.

I only know he lived in London.

Going by the trade badge on his lower arm it looks like he was a gunnery instructor in the Royal Artillery. Although the shoulder tab is not that clear it could be the Royal Garrison Artillery and higher res' image of just the shoulder area may make the lettering clearer.

Hello ,
I think his service records are on Ancestry . Henry Percival John Sillman Bdr 125219 RGA , 41AA Coy , RGA. Wife Elizabeth and living in Hackney , London before leaving for Australia in 1924 . He appears not to have qualified for any medals .

Yes, it is.

Unfortunately the baby died aged two. :(

I'm thinking of putting it into the photo restoration section, as they can do wonders over there, and it's the only photo we have of her.
