1st/6th City of London Rifles
« on: Saturday 10 April 10 16:02 BST (UK) »
My grand uncle Thomas Peile served and died in this regiment at High Wood.  I have a copy of the 'Cast Iron Sixth" for general information but wondered if anyone might know where I could find more detailed individual information.  I understand that the regimental museum is at the Tower  of London but not sure of how to contact them or even if it would be worth doing so.
I have a copy of Thomas' MIC and even managed to pick up his bronze death penny from a chap who had brought it on ebay! but would love to know more as my aunts and uncles didn't even know he existed as his younger brother my Grandfather never mentioned him ever.
