At the moment I have found great contacts to my Minnie McKenzie( Mina in the story) family who emigrated to New Zealand in 1862 with her brother James and cousin John Polson

I know what you mean. This site has been absolutely amazing in helping me to find stuff. I had such a small amount of information on my ancestors and have managed to find so much of now through this site. It's definitely kept my search alive. If I'd had to rely on my own resources I'd never have got this far It's quite incredible.

I think the chances are that we might have a McKenzie connection. I did have Murdoch's death details somewhere which would list a mother and father's name. I think he did have a sister Flora but at this stage I just can't remember. I'll see if I can dig it out. Do you have parents names for Flora?
