1881 census look up, please, for Alderney - completed

The 1881 census for Alderney does not appear to be in the Mormons' site nor can I find it in find my past.

If someone has access to it, please would you look for Francis McCusker? He was born in Ireland about 1860, and he was in the army.

to my surprise, even tho' Alderney is in the drop down list initially, it doesnt figure in the actual 1881 Ancestry's implementation - only Guernsey & Jersey do

I've just put this to the test by going to findmypast and doing a street name search for 1881 - entered Victoria Street as the street name and Alderney as the place name and the right Victoria Street came up... with all sorts of very familiar-sounding surnames  (I'm semi-resident on the islandl)

I'm afraid not... and I've tried all sorts of variants and wildcards as well. In fact I couldn't find anyone by that name, or any similar name, anywhere... the nearest match was someone in Lancashire, but he was of the wrong age.

Ah, by searching the 1881 by address instead of by name, there is
Military In Alderney
with solely numbers of people but with no names.

All of the British Channel Islands except Jersey were part of the Bailwick of Guernsey and so would form part of the Guernsey Census.
