hi everyone,
can any one help me find info on the sloan family.
on the roll of honour pte james sloan died dec 1941
it says he was the loved brother of
mrs s taylor      rakaia
miss m sloan    willowby
mr j sloan         willowby
mr a g sloan     mayfield
is there any way of finding out who his sister married and where .
 her first name was sarah
and if it is possible to trace any other members of this family

thanks for your reply, yes he fought for n/z died in the middle east his parents where from northern ireland.
most of the family moved to new zealand and this is as much as i know on those how moved

There is no MIss Sarah Sloan married to a Taylor in NZ up to 1956

so ?would she have married before moving here

YOu will need electoral roll lookup in the place mentioned to best get firstnames etc

There is a Mayfield in Canterbury, 112 kms from Christchurch and an Alexander Grattan Sloan died 1983 age 72 is buried in Memorial Park Christchurch.
