Hi Brian, Thanks for replying to my post of quite some time ago. My Great-Grandparents Pat & Ann Keegan left Ireland with 7 seven children, the remaining two, including my grandfather, were born in New Zealand, so they may not be the Keegans that you have mentioned..... however I would appreciate the information that you have as there always remains the possibility and I have struggled to get any concrete information out of Ireland. Most of what I have is what has been handed down to the descendants of Pat & Ann and is more anecdotal. Looking forward to hearing from you again.
Regards - Peter Keegan

Hi Anne, Do you live in Ireland or NZ. If in NZ probable best to chat privately as i have many live Keegans in NZ.  This is what i have of the 9 children of Patrick & Anne Sinnott.  Not sure if this matches up with you as some dates are different. But if you can match it i can send you the family that i know of Patrick Keegan m. Mary Roche.
Good luck
Brian

Hi Brian - thanks for that. It is information that I have though. It was information prior to their coming to NZ that I was after (and yes I live in NZ). There have been a couple of books written on the family, one by Mercia Turner in 2010 and I have included a lot about the family in Wanganui in my own book which I published in 2017. If you are living in NZ I would like to make contact and find out where you fit into the family. my email is (*)
 - regards Peter

Did Margaret Pender start off as Margaret Prendergast
Marriage 1865
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1865/11584/8263159.pdf

they had 2 children born with that mothers maiden name at Kereight 1865 and 1866

your ancestor Thomas was born Kereight May 1879 to mother Margaret Pender

I've come across Pender and Pendergast used for the same person one on the Civil marriage cert and the other in the church register
