  Sarah is bapt 1841 they also had a daughter Fanny bapt 1843 but who died Dec of that year.

  Great at covering their tracks some of them .... ???

many thanks to you three (mort29, tazzie & suzard).  You are quite right tazzie that some people are very good at covering their tracks!.  I see I typed an error when I said 51 census - i should have been 41 but even that makes the waters no clearer.  My grandfather, Charles Roberts was a brewery worker & so does not seem to have followed any of the three Thomas' work so even that does not help.  It seems that this family is set to haunt me for a while longer!  tobytail
