Shirley- me neither.  And folk in other death notices are usually "invited" or " welcome". Here they are "requested" !

Death.
At Blaydon on 14th inst, aged 23, George, son of Mr Joseph Jude.

8 April 1870
At Stella on 29th ult aged 62, Mr Joseph Jude.

There were other articles..... Elswick Mechanics Institute, and a speaking competition ( but Joseph had to repeatedly refer to his notes !
