Ancient Order of Druids
« on: Monday 19 April 10 10:06 BST (UK) »
Hi all

I am wondering if someone out there can help with some information on an artifact I have.  I have tried usual avenues - internet search etc. but without success.

I have an Ancient Order of Druids collar (regalia).  It is blue satin, embroidered with gold thread at the edge.  On one side it has the initials in gold thread P.D.C. and on the other side in gold thread 1912.  Both sides are also embroidered with large acorns and oakleaves.  The collar tapers down to a point, and the point ends in a big gold sequinned star, and from this hangs a gold tassel.  I will post a picture as soon as I can if this would help.

Many thanks.

Hi Oaktrees

Yes what you have sounds like a a Director of Ceremonies sash for the AOD, probably either provincial or past DC. I have a medal (jewel) with a similar inscription. I would say it was for the (Grand or pronvicial) Director of Ceremonies for 1912. I would need more info to identify the province

Would love to see a picture. Any more info that you need please let me know
