I would like to send you a personal message, but I think you need to have 3 posts, so, just send a few words a couple of times, then I can tell you what I know, not a lot, but willing to share.

Best wishes

Thankyou for your prompt reply, my dad did trace some of his relatives to Tunstall and we visited them occasionally but after visiting some other relatives he became very sullen about his reception there and never tried again. I am interested to find out more and would be grateful if you will share with me. Malcolm

Hi again I did find out that Charles Alfredo Tomlinson was killed when his ship HMS Begonia was sunk off Cassablanca in WW1.

Hello, I too am interested in Frances. Any info would be appreciated. How many children did she have and where is she buried? Would very much like to learn about your father's adoption.  Please, please send me any tiny piece of information to assist with my extended tree. Thank you.

Hi Nat ,welcome to rootschat  :D.

If you make 2 more posts (just reply to this twice & say hi) you can send & receive pms (personal messages) to 205mal & mentmore. You can then exchange email addresses this way if you find you are related & any information about people who may still be alive - neither of which is allowed on the public forum. Click the square looking text icon under the avatar (or the square to the left of the username) which will take you to the pm page.

Good luck in your hunt...
