Looks nice. It looks like bronze its to red to be brass. Brass should be more of a yellow. Are the stones missing? unless there clear, or is it the way its been photographed.

The stones are still there I think you are right about it being bronze as you can see more red on the back I don't know what kind of stones they are glass maybe??

I expect glass. I don’t think you would have diamonds set in bronze. Its a nice little find for you and part of your history.  :)

I'd think the stones, glass or whatever, would be an oldfashioned cut, mine cut or rose cut, so they don't look very sparkly because they aren't deep enough to refract light properly. Is that about right, hippy?
