Royal Flying Corps Badges
« on: Wednesday 21 April 10 23:30 BST (UK) »
Hi there

Does anyone have any information on the following badge please?

My husband's grandfather was in the Royal Flying Corps but I am wondering why he should have a badge with crossed rifles on it!

With thanks

criggy

Hi Ady

I've just realised I put swords instead of rifles so I've amended that!

The lad in question was Walter John Leahy otherwise known as Jack. The badge has his name Pte WJ Leahy on the back at the bottom and initials J.W.T top left and silver hall marks top right.

Thanks for your interest.

Regards
