Nottingham Newspaper Obit - Carr - 1970 - COMPLETE

Albert Edward Carr, 37 Sherwin Rd, Lenton, Nottingham died 8 March 1970 at aged 78 in Cedars Hospital, Nottingham.  Are there local newspaper archives that someone could do a look-up to see if there is a published obituary for him?  I'm looking for any other details provided.  His wife's name was Florence Annie but that's all I have.  Thanks.

Hello....sorry, I owe you an apology.

I was told by the library in question that I'd be able to get access to the relevant newspapers...tried & got nowhere, so I phoned them & they told me someone must have given me incorrect information....I can only get access to nineteenth century Nottingham newspapers.

Sorry to have kept you hanging around....I hope someone else can help

No problem at all.  I've just had a reply from another source who was able to check the newspapers themselves.  She was able to find 2 brief announcements from friends and colleagues.  I was hoping for family info but nothing was posted.  Thanks for offering to help.
