Here they are -
HORNE John - 1877 reg no #19375 - Warrenheip.

      "     JANE - 1881 - #6216 -      "
      "     ELetia - 1882 - #19962 -  "
      "     Ellen  -  1884 - #13553 -   "
      "     Annie -  1885 - #29566 -   "
      "     Elizabeth - 1887 #16734 - BALL.

      "     Ethel - 1893 - #32107 - Guil (Guildford ?)
Deaths -
HORNE - Jane - 1882 #7339  - Warrenheip. (age 15 months)
     "     Ellen - 1885 - #10658 - Wheip   (age 1 year).

Also it appears (I think this is correct) Agnes Roper - had three children before she married.
ROPER - Owen - 1867 - #6116 - Ballt (Ballarat)
    "      - Henry - 1870 - #13731 - Ballarat.

I can see the deaths for - Agnes, Ethel and Annie - I haven't checked when they married  yet.

EDIT - just posting when Bev replied - looks like I missed a few?? Anyway we can compare them. :)

Hi,
I am including Agnes Horne who was born Roper, but married as Horne as the first child of Jonathon and Agnes as her name was down on the death certificate as the 1st of the children.
Going on the dates you have down I would conclude that the Jonathon you had down for 1877 would be the 1st of the legitimate children.  I had him down as 1878.
The two illegitimate children were not included on Agnes' death certificate though they were living.  Just the thinking of some people I suppose and they were living in West Australia by the time Agnes died.
Thanks for the reference numbers as well.
Kind regards
Bev.

Hi Bev,
No success in finding Probate or burial place for Alicia White.

I noticed on the Australian Electoral Rolls  - that Alicia & Frederick White, were living at King Edward Avenue, Sunshine. (1914-1949)

Alicia White is still there in 1954, however no Frederick - perhaps he had passed away by that time.

Possible death for Frederick White??.
Victorian Death Index 1921-1985.
WHITE Fredck -
Age - #72 years.
Year 1952 - reg no #8189 - death place - SShine. (probably Sth Sunshine)
parents - Josiah White - Emma Brucewaters.

Could be worth while, asking for someone with the, Footscray Cemetery Index, to do a lookup for you. As Sunshine is near to Footscray.

..... children were not included on Agnes' death certificate though they were living.  .....

I think the question that the informant answered may have caused this  ....  I think the question was along the lines of "Give names and ages of the Children of the Marriage and if Living or Deceased"

Cheers,  JM

Hi Sarra, Cando, Sue & JM,
Not a very good day!  My husband went early and had his blood test, then went to wait for his chemo infusion - sat there 3 hours and was then told to go home as his liver readings were a bit raised.  He even had the day he was finishing chemo up on the calendar, but now has to change it and doesn't like that one bit.
However, the information waiting for me from all of you has brightened my day up at least.
Thank you all for your help it is much appreciated.
Kind regards
Bev

Hi,
Yes, I agree with Sarra. Disappointing family news.

There are a number of Ballarat burials in the name HORNE.
I can spot the 2 little baby girls together there.
If you do not have and want their particular locations, let me know.

Given the dates of death (if you are able) I can let you know if any of these people are yours.
