i am trying to find the birth place of Elizabeth Arnold my great grandmother supposed to have been born in Leicester around 1863 and of gypsy or showground origin Arnold family were well known in Leicester as fairground painters.  Any ideas please....

Who were her parents?

The 1871 has one b 1863 Blaby parents James & Sarah

One b 1864 Orton living with grandparents

None had any gypsy/showground type occupation

Did she marry?  If so - can we have full details of who to, when and where

I think she married Charles Frederick Knight who died young about 46/47 in 1910 in Anstey Leicester and then she married again to a James Sylvester in 1911/12 .  Elizabeth Sylvester( nee Arnold) died in died in 1929 in Leicester but i cant any trace of her first marriage to Charles Frederick Knight.

hm, interesting but asfar as i know they were from leicester.

Alice Winifred`s birth doesn`t want to found on Free BMD, so can`t be sure where she was from.

Only this CFK in Leics.

Charles Frederick Knight 20 occ stationer father same name

Alice Winifred Arnold 19 father Eli Arnold police officer

They married on 14.5.1883  at St Luke's Middlesex

Witnesses were Eli Arnold and Ellen St Clair

1871 shows the above Alice was b Hackney

The 1891 has a Charles (32) and Eliza Knight (26) both b Loughborough who have a 3yr old dtr Helen

Freebmd has no death for a Charles Frederick Knight around 1910 in eics

Do you have Elizabeth on the 1911 census?  What were her children's details?  What birthplace does she give
