Grt Uncle George

I am looking for the marriage of George Stark born Tweedmouth Berwick upon Tweed 1898

All I know is his wife was called NETTY( Nettie) could this be Janet ,Jeanette or Janette

He was in the war and was injured loosing half his arm
son of Robert Stark and Mary Jane Gilroy

I have looked in Free BMD and scotlandspeople no avail

Hi Elizabeth,

George married Janetta Middlemas Rae April 25th 1924 at Plora Terrace, Walkerburn (near Peebles).

He was 26 and a railway caller (?). He stayed at 15 Station Cottages, Tweedmouth and parents are as you have.

Janetta was also 26 and a darner at a woollen mill. She stayed at the place of marriage, and her parents were George Rae, warper (woollen mill) and Isabella Janet Rae m.s. Middlemas.

They were married by Charles Derry, minister of Walkerburn's Congregational Church, and witnesses were Alexander Walker of Brewery Park, Tweedmouth and Jessie P. Lees of Sunnybank, Walkerburn.

Strangely enough, there is a Robert Stark, aged 40, who died the same quarter but on the next page. Maybe a relation?
