Hi
I have come across several names for one person so far, but the name CRICK was used but nobody knows what it stood for!
Does anyone know if this is a particular abbreviation to a more well known first name.

hi, skyp, its just a thought but a traveller pal of mine was called charles, but he was known as chick sometimes the spelling on forms is hard to read and easily be wrongly read or transcribed,might be worth a look for a charles, cushty bok mush... rob g

I know the name Crick, but as a surname only. However, some of my relatives who have the surname Ayres also have the surname Stubbing used as a Christian name, so possibly this happened in your case too  with Crick.
