This man?

Births Sep 1900

Daniel  Charles Wesley A    W. Derby  8b 251

He should appear on the 1901 census - luckily no best guessing as all his intials are specified:-

RG13; Piece: 3449; Folio: 45; Page: 34 West Derby, Parish of Litherland: 24 Ismay Road

William Daniel 27 Head of Household born Cheshire Mabberley: Labourer at Tannery
Margaret Daniel 28 Wife born Lancs, Hull (added later 'Yorks')++
Wm H Daniel 4 son born Lancs, Seaforth
Chas W A Daniel 7 months son ditto

++ After looking at Birth Index entries, I believe this may have been intended to be Lancs, HALE, which would correspond to a Margaret born in the Prescott District

It is usually best to tstart with what yuo know and work back
If he is your ggrandfather, then one of his children must be an ancestor too!
Who is that and have you found them on a census? with their father? If so that will help ...

If yuo are stuck do give us some dates, and the names of Charles Wesly Daniel's wife and children

Aha Mort - I am thinking too far back!
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Marriage ? (plenty of William D's marrying a Margaret, but this one in the 'right' place, and fits oldest child age)

Marriages Jun 1895

Daniel  William    W. Derby  8b 732
Hitchmough  Margaret     W. Derby  8b 732
Midgley  Richard     W. Derby  8b 732
Tongue  Ruth Mary     W. Derby  8b 732

Look at my first post again - I added the 1901 detail

His Father William is one of 2 men of that name in the 1881 census born c1874-6 in Mobberley.

You might have to get that marriage Certificate to determine which one we are dealing with.
