Hi Sheila, thanks for the pedigree I had no idea there were so many children until this week. I do know that the son John moved to New York where he was a stone mason, and he moved later to Washington D.C. where he worked on many of the monuments there. Daniel I believe went to Brooklyn, and Martha had a large hotel for many years in Atlantic City, N.J.

Is the old Kilrea Church of which the Diamonds were historically erenaghs still standing? If not are the ruins still there?

Hello everyone, I am a descendent of the Raffertys as well. My great grandfather Alfred Leo Halpin married Margaret Annie Rafferty. Margaret Annie Rafferty was one of Thomas Rafferty and Mary Darragh's daughters. My Thomas Rafferty (my great great grandfather) was the brother of your William Rafferty, who married Rose Hegarty in 1882. Thomas Rafferty was one of William's older brothers. Thomas and William Rafferty's father was John Rafferty. William and Rose were sponsors of some baptisms of Thomas Rafferty's children. Mary Diamond was a sponsor of some event as well.
