Hi again,

Nice find Northern Rose.  :)  I suspect the 1871 could be the right one.  Mary A Marchant aged 4 is living with her Chattin Grandparents.

There is a marriage in 1860 Henry Marchant to Jane Chattin Kensington Sept. Qtr. Volume 1a page 17

1861 census has:

1 Wellington Road, Fulham

Henry Marchant, Head, M, 25, Blacksmith & Veterinary Surgeon, Middlesex Kensington
Jane, Wife, M, 22, Essex High Beach
Elizabeth Chattin, Visitor, U, 15, Middlesex Fulham

Regards,
Mo

Mosiefish & northern_rose.

Thanks for all the info you have found, the Annie you have found in Tottenham is definately the correct person. From the 1901 census you have the 3 eldest children, with Frederick my grandfather. I had previously centred all my research in Sussex because of the places quoted on Henry & Annie's marriage certificate.

 :)  :)
