Hi there,
                 was wondering if anyone out there could help me decipher the mothers first name on this birth certificate, just cant make it out  ???

When I first looked before I saw the Martha replies, I thought it said Heather.

I can see how Heather came to mind, I have seen H's that look that way and the tails after a can look like an r.  However when you look in column 4 Sex the M for male is the same as the first latter of mothers name, that suddenley clarifies the a's and so you have Martha.

Oh  and for a H look at the last word in column 8 Hospital.  So again that rules out Heather.
Main Stream:- Gregory, Bridgwater, Dazely.
Tributaries:- Broomhead, Warner, Eyre.
Areas: UK- Derbyshire 1750-1900, Manchester 1900- now,
        India- Jubblepore, Kirkee, Lucknow. (Bridgwater/Dazely 1890-1925)
