James Morrison & Mary Paton Morrison Glasgow
« on: Wednesday 28 April 10 12:21 BST (UK) »
Trying to find descendants of my great grandparents who were James Morrison, born Grange, Banffshire in 1849 and Mary Paton , Largs, Ayrshire 1846.  They lived in Warwick Street and later South Portland Street and Seyton Avenue? Langside.  James Morrison worked for the Water Board as a Sanitary Inspector.  They had 6 children, including my grandfather, Alexander who were:

Annie (who later became an opera singer and moved to the States), James Brown Paton Morrison born 1875 who married Elizabeth McVean born in Lochgilphead, Mary Paton Morrison born c 1878 who married Hugh Russell Stock of Lancashire and Helen Brown Morrison born around 1880 who married James Smith Hart in 1903.  Their last daughter, Isabella,  married John Graham Dow a muslin manufacturer.

James Morrison died in 1936 aged 86 and his wife died in Newton Mearns in 1946 aged 100! Any of the above sound familiar to anyone?   I would love to hear from them if it does.  Or if anyone knows what children (if any) any of them had.

Karen

Karen,

Better late than never, I suppose... If you're still looking, I can tell you a bit about this brother of your grandfather.

Thank you so much. 💓 I'd traced some of them over the years but others I was still looking for.  Much appreciated
