What is really interesting is that George Tuffts died in 1837.
Thus 1841 census has George living with Charlotte as labourer but the youngest children George and Charles must be his even though they were not yet married. Charles is my wifes direct ancestor through son William Charles Alfred Boston 1875-1937 his third daughter Winifred Boston was my wifes mother 1905 - 1994 having emigrated to Aust 1939 just before outbreak WW2 following husband who was posted to Aust by his employer several months earlier. It is great to have a focal point of ancestry , Eye Suffolk sounds rather mysterious - did someone "spy" an area to farm 700 odd years ago??
