Trying desperately to PM a member!

Hi everyone,
For some reason I am unable to PM a member or a moderator to help me link up with someone whom I think I could well be related to.

The thread is:1911 Passinger lists (bad spelling eek)
Anyways the forum member in question is tomdanpete (Peter) from the UK, I suspect we are infact related as he has in his possession a family bible that was owned by my great grandparents, Arthur and Maud Savage.

I'm in Australia and would love to converse with him and try to work out how we fit into the family tree.

Can anyone help me, in particular a moderator, I would greatly appreciate some advice or perhaps an email could be sent on my behalf to tomdanpete in the hope that we can connect.

New members need at least 3 posts before they can use the PM (private messaging) facility.  If you reply to this thread, then you have your three posts, and can make contact.

TOmandpeter hasn't been online since May 2009 which may be why they haven't responded to your post on that thread.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Yes, this seems to be a major problem with the PM system. Many people use the forum for a while and then drift away to something else, only to return after six months or a year or so! I am one such person. I have PM'ed a member who has not been online for a few months, and have been waiting a few weeks so far.

Is it not possible that if a PM is not replied to within say, one or two weeks that an e-mail be automatically sent by RootsChat, containing either the message, or a note saying there is a PM waiting to be answered!

If a person does not reply to a PM after getting notification it often the case that they've changed the email address they registered with here.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I did manage to PM the member , so now its just a waiting game, ooooh I really hope he does re-connect or hasn't changed his email addy!!!!!

If you do a search of the member in question on the likes of Google you will see he hasn't been active on a lot of sites for around the same length of time:
