His service record (22 images) is also on Ancestry - search with surname Wilson and number 50991.

Charles Albert Wilson, bottle washer, of 55 Grant Rd, Battersea. Attested 50991 in 22nd Bn Welsh Regiment (a "Bantam" battalion - he was only 5' 1") at Battersea 18/2/1916. Called up 29/4/16. Mother's name Margaret.
Sent to France 1/9/16 and posted around several battalions, ending up in the 16th.
Transferred to Yorkshire Regiment as 34985 on 1/4/18 ending up in 1st/4th Bn.
At some time in summer 1918 he suffered gunshot wound to right shoulder.
Posted Depot Bn 10/6/18, 3rd Bn 9/11/18 and 2nd Bn 16/8/19.
Demobilized at York on 3/10/19.

You can probably download this and his Medal Card with a free trial on Ancestry.
