Take a look at the witnesses names on the mc - might be family members which could be helpful too.

Hi,

This looks like the family of George and Elizabeth (nee HOLT) COOPER in 1841 and 1851,

1841  HO107/580/12  f.26  p.44&45  Manchester
Township: Chorlton Upon Medlock
Oxford Street

George  COOPER    30    Corn Dealer    N
Elizabeth    "         30                       N
William       "           5                       Y
Lydia         "           3                       Y
Sarah        "           1                       Y
Elizabeth    "           1month               Y
George       "         15    M.S.             N
Eliza HOLT            14    F.S.              N

1851 Census of Chorlton-Upon-Medlock
HO107/2220   Civil Parish Manchester
24 Oxford Street

COOPER
George       Head    45    Corn Dealer    Derbyshire
Elizabeth     Wife    40                       Cheadle Cheshire
William         Son    15    At Home        Manchester Lancashire
Lydia          Daur    13    At Home        Chorlton Lancashire
Sarah Ann   Daur    11    Scholar         Chorlton Lancashire
Martha        Daur     6    Scholar         Chorlton Lancashire
George Henry  Son   5    Scholar          Chorlton Lancashire

and here is John in 1841, with the same couple who are his Uncle and Aunt in 1851,

1841  HO107/184/9  f.14  p.23  Eyam, Derbyshire

William COOPER   40    Farmer    Yes
Sarah        "       30                  No
John         "         4                  Yes

I wonder if Sarah and John's birthplaces have been confused as in 1851 Sarah is born on Derbyshire and John in Lancashire.

The IGI has these baptisms which could show that George and William were brothers,

WILLIAM COOPER
Christening:  08 MAR 1795   Eyam, Derbyshire

George COOPER
Christening:  14 JUL 1805   Eyam, Derbyshire

both with,
Father:  WILLIAM COOPER
Mother:  MARTHA

Daisy

parents are the same
Father:  WILLIAM COOPER
Mother:  MARTHA

Hi Ann

Back to your original request, you are looking for a birth that took place before the start of civil registration on 1st July 1837, so there won't be an official entry in the GRO birth index and therefore no birth certificate.

I'm afraid you'll have to 'make do' with the baptism, it looks like the family have found their way onto the IGI but no birth dates have been recorded which is often the case. You should of course have a look at the original baptism registers though just to make sure.
