Sorry, I can't help at all with your questions, I merely have access to the quarterly sessions transcription  :-\

There were 9 people convicted of manslaughter on the same day (maybe all to do with the same case?), sentences all between 1 month and 3 months.

Googling John Parish looks like a lost cause, doesn't it?  :P
Here are the names of the other people tried for manslaughter:
Isaiah Wright age 18, William Shakespeare age 24, Zachariah Jaques 23, Ralph Lovatt 21, Joseph Penn 26, Thomas Skidmore 34, James Hampton 27, John Harper 22 (not guilty).

Hi Kim

If they were all sentenced as a group for the same offence I would think it might have been written up in a newspaper somewhere.  Have you tried the 19th century British Library collection by ppv online or free at your local library?

Isaiah Wright age 18, William Shakespeare age 24, Zachariah Jaques 23, Ralph Lovatt 21, Joseph Penn 26, Thomas Skidmore 34, James Hampton 27, John Harper 22 (not guilty).

(As an aside, one of those names is of my ex ... but a little before his time !   Made me laugh out loud tho' !!)

One month for manslaughter seems extraordinarily lenient, when you think that men could be transported for seven years for stealing a sack of flour !
Dorset/Wilts/Hants: Trowbridge Williams Sturney/Sturmey Prince Foyle/Foil Hoare Vincent Fripp/Frypp Triggle/Trygel Adams Hibige/Hibditch Riggs White Angel Cake
