"handbook of old hertfordshire inns"
(Volume 2 West Herts)
by W Branch Johnson
published 1961 or 1962

A loan copy will suffice.

Thanks for the info, but, your link actually pointed to volume 1 (East Herts) of the two part set. I am after volume 2 (West Herts). I am also aware that Mr Johnson wrote a similarly named book with the added words "and Beerhouses" which does'nt seem to help.

I am keeping an eye on Amazon, Biblioz, etc., etc., but this message was in case someone actually had a copy.
You know what happens, you buy a copy and someone says "you could have borrowed mine".
