« on: Wednesday 05 May 10 22:03 BST (UK) »
g'day team,

this is another family we are seeking german history on to determine any close family connection:

Brauer, Heinrich `Henry", EST 1821, Hirsum,Hannover, Preussen.
    * d. ABT 1872, Inverall, 4415/1872, NSW, Aus.
    * e. Immigration: 30 Sep 1855, dep`: Hamburg, aged 34, on `Johann Cesar`.

maried on: ABT 1846, Preussen.

to: Keston/Caston/Karsten/Hasten, Julia/Juliane Amelia, b. ABT 1826, Braunschweig, Preussen.

we ahve no further information on Julia whether she married again or where she is interred.

they came with 4 children:

Brauer, Henry Julius, b.  ABT 1847, Hirsum, Hannover, Preussen.

Brauer, Frederick Charles, b.  EST 1850, Hannover, Preussen.

Brauer, Charles Henry, b.  EST 1851, Essen, Preussen.

Brauer, Dorothea, b.  ABT 1854, Hannover, Preussen.

again they came to moreton bay and settled in the tenterfield area of NSW.

these may the furtherest from being related?? but i do have local contact with a member of their family, and they don't have a lot of information so either way any information will be a help.

all help very much appreciated.

Hello

I just came across your post through a search on google for an ancestor of mine.

I was googling Henry Brauer 1820-1872 he happens to be my 4th Great Grandfather on my father's side.

Have you been able to find out any information?

Warm Regards
Sharon

g'day sharon,

great to hear from you.

i have so many "brauer" names on my list i might have you henry but with his christian anmes around another way, it is quiet common for this in germany and european family history.

anyhow i would like to pursue this further so will send you a private message.

added in ok since this time of this original post i ahve gained much knowledge of henry from oterh sources we now have his DOB circa 1817, we may never know?

i have lots on his children etc.,. but so far no further back into germany than henry

so at this stage henry's family is not connect to my family but i hold out all hope, this will be confirmed or other when we have his grandparents or great-grandparents etc's.,. names

this family most likley transition through bethany at beenleigh queensland and chose land around tenterfield (now NSW) back then qld was NSW.
