harry clark born Derby 1901
« on: Thursday 06 May 10 13:04 BST (UK) »
has anyone info on my uncle, Harry Clark, born 1901 in Derby.  His father was a railwayman and he had brothers Samuel and William and a sister Doris.
Harry was married and had a son Ronald and a daughter Dorothy but since the 1920s no-one seems to know anything about them.  Maybe they emigrated.  Hope someone somewheree can help us fill in this gap in our family tree.

Welcome to RootsChat

I assume this is the family??

1901
20 Richardson St Derby
John Clarke Head M 44 Carriage Washer (Midland Rlwy)
Kate wife 26
William Oliver son 2
all b Derby
RG13 3222 59 21

it seems John died sometime during next 10 years

children
William Oliver birth reg Sept qtr 1898 Derby
Harry Dec qtr 1901 Derby
Samuel c 1902/3 derby
Doris Myrtle Dec qtr 1908 Derby

the problemis with the "Clark" surname is sometimes an "e" is written on the end/sometimes not

The children's birth reg's are in a combination of spellings

There is a marriage in Derby dist of harry Clarke /Florence Smith Mar qtr 1920 Derby 7b 110 -but it is difficult to know whether this is correct marriage reg or not

You really need to give more information

Where was harry in 1920??

What was his wife's name??

Do you know the children's full names and d.o.b.??

(Please  PM them as they could still be living) You can PM after making 3 posts

Have you made a search using "Clark" and "Clarke"????
