The maths suggests this is Edwin .
I hope it was then I wont be so sad for him . For the life of me I cant think why they have started to call him Edward .  Unless they just called him Ted ? But it certainly looks like he has been adopted . On his birth cert he is Edwin Florence no father and then when he marries Rebecca Mills he reverts back to being called Edwin Florence and stays like that until his death . Perhaps for those few years they tried to call him Hemming for the sake of wagging tongues :)
People wouldn't bat an eyelid these days would they?
