Excellent thank you, that's really helped me a lot! There was such an age gap between my grandfather and his older brothers and sister that we don't know much about them at all

Hi Gadget, It's a while since I've been active on RC.  Not had time.  Still don't really.  Just that the name Forrest jumped out at me.

Wildheart, Forrest is my family name and I have my lineage back to 1750 in Kirkintilloch.  I don't think I do have the later details you are looking for - what I was meaning was that the further back you go, I might be able to link it to some of the Forrest info I have.  I have details of 600+ Forrests in Stirlingshire and Glasgow on my site and a database of Dunbartonshire Forrests that I have still to upload.

There is a link to my site at the bottom of my threads.  If you request an invite, I'll allow you access.

Ahhhh I see, Forrest is my mother's maiden name and they seem to all have originated from the Kirkintilloch, Twechar, Kilsyth area but I haven't gone much further back to see where it traces back to, I just wondered if you were related to any of my grandfather's siblings

Have given you access.  If you have any questions, just let me know.  I'll reply as quickly as I can.
On the other hand, if you can add anything to the site, I'd appreciate it.
In addition to the info on the site, I have the SP images for all the pre 1855 stuff (Forrest only).
