I am searching for a Swan family from the Edinburgh area. Brothers Alexander and Robert came to USA in late 1700's. Believe Robert to be oldest as he married in 1795(Maryland,USA) and Alexander did not marry until 1805(Virginia USA).The reason we think Edinburgh is family legend has they were educated in  Edinburgh. They both were in the milling business so think their father was also. Any body got a lead? There was reported to be another brother but do not have a name.
