I think I may have found Annie Toward in 1891:

Parents are George, a miner, and Isabel. Let me know if you'd like this transcribed.

There is a marriage Sept 1/4 1882 Stockton 10a 106 which has a George Toward and Isabella Owens.  You'd be advised to check this out on Freebmd though, because there is also a George Teward and Catherine Owens on the same page, so a possible mix-up or mistranscription of George's name ...

I found ANnie in 1901:
A few errors on this entry Annie transcribed as Edrice Towart but someone has amended so looks like someone else is researching the same family. George is mistranscribed as Yearge ...

Wow, thankyou for all the responses. I wish I knew where to look to find this information.

I have tried looking at the www.freebmd.org and can't seem to figure out the website. I mean that I can search a name, but unable to view the records?

I will have to copy all this information out and decipher it, haha.

When you find a record on FreeBMD you click on the page and it gives all the people that married on that day as possible spouses.
To get any further info you have to buy the certificate.

Its all a bit confusing, I think I'll be playing with that website for a few hours when my little ones are asleep..haha

How do you find the information without dates etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok,
Usually one starts with what is known;
Ourselves, parents etc.
Grandparents and marriage if known.
When you go further back you have to spend money on birth and marriage certs.
Ruskie and I have access to Ancestry to look at census data 1841-1901 and can search for these people.
When we find them we look fro the youngest child then search for a marriage of the parents abt that time.
