Have just seen that there's a member of the Northants Family History Society who's researching Ashers in Rothwelll....pretty sure they're related....have asked for contact

Could I just take this a step further, please ?

We've got a William Asher, baptised on 9/4/1795 at Rushton (parents John & Mary) & an Asher family at Marston Trussell....I couldn't find a William in that family. On the 1841 census there's a William Asher,, born approx 1796, in Northants, wife Martha & 4 or 5 children living at Wilbarston, Harborough, Market Harborough. I'd think that was the William born at Rushton except that for the fact that none of the children are named after his parents & the proximity of the Asher family at Marston Trusswell.

Could someone please check & see if the Ashers of Marston Truswell had a William baptised around 1795, please ?

From the Northants Baptism Indexes the only family at
Marston Trusell baptising a William was noted below.

Marston Trussell C of E

03 May 1807
William ASHER s of Edward & Mary 1807 (born Apr 18).

Only the 2 on the indexes, the other being at Rushton.

Thank you very much. So it looks as though the William Asher born in Rushton in 1795/6 married Martha....& this William would have been too young to have married Elizabeth Barfield in 1814.
