Hi Chris,

can I trouble you for another Ashton-under-Line lookup on the NBI?

I am having a problem finding the death of my 2nd G-grandmother on the pay-per-view sites as I am not sure what name was used on her death certificate.

Her maiden name was Caroline Pitts, in 1871 she used the surname Fisher and on the 1901 census she is Caroline Lock aged 58.  I have been unable to find a record of either marriage.I have no idea when she died but it would definitly have been in Ashton-Under-Line.

Caroline Pitts - 8, all 1700 & 1800's
Caroline Lock - 6 all 1800's
Caroline Fisher - 20+, all 1800's

Not one of them listed in the 20th century

I really appreciate your time. Caroline is a woman of mystery who does not appear to be registered for anything except her christening. I suppose it will be all the more exciting when I finally catch her!
