There is a NSW Death Registration, no. 11594/1907, for Treharne Evans, son of Elizabeth.  A copy of the certificate may be available from the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages; -

www.bdm.nsw.gov.au
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

I am actually trying to see if I can find anything out about the accident happening - what mine, how it happened etc. - if someone died in similar circumstances in UK there is a website that shows details of it .... anything similar in Australia ?

Couldn't see any reports on the National Library digitised newspapers either:

If you want to purchase any NSW BMD certificate it is cheaper and quicker to use a transcription agent.  Transcriptions of certificates are emailed to you. The death certificate should give his address, cause of death etc.

I see someone else looking for your Treharne Evans:

http://newsarch.rootsweb.com/th/read/AUS-NSW-Hunter-Valley/2008-04/1209587065

Following on from this thread which suggests Treharne's son was an undertaker there is still an Evans Funeral Directors in Wallsend so perhaps a letter................

Evans Funeral Services (02) 4955 9251 49 Nelson St, Wallsend NSW 2287  (If you were phoning from UK you would leave the first 0 off the number, Australia's international code is 61 so the number would be 61  2 4955 9251)

Hi again eac61, another thread on Treharne Evans it seems.
He didn't die in a mine accident, he died of "Cerebral Haemorrhage" "after a severe illness of several weeks", age 58.  This is from his death certificate dated 08-Jul-1907.
Any other enquiries feel free to ask.

I'm after pics/info of any direct relatives in Wales.  I have all the Censuses, also Thomas & Elizabeth's Marriage Cert, and Thomas & Elizabeth's death certs.
I'm descended from Treharne's daughter Elizabeth.  He had a son Richard Morgan and 2 other daughters Sarah Ann and Maud Mary.
