Because these mentions have an e on the end of Cochran I am not sure that these are anything to do with your Edward but

26th Dec 1856, Edward M’Cormick to Ann youngest daughter of the late Mr Edward Cochrane, watchmaker, both of Belfast.

Feb 2nd 1864, James eldest surviving son of the late Edward Cochrane Watchmaker died at No 10 Catherine Street, Belfast aged 36? years. (buried at Newtownbreda?)

Thank you for this information, But I am still wondering, who EDWARD COCHRAN(E)'s wife was and what other children he had.,

As I am still wondering if he was the father to Hugh Hall Cochran(e)

Yes Cochran was often signed with an 'E'

My Grandfather for sometime signed with an 'E' but when it was dropped my father never knew.

Thanks again.

This may be connected to your Edward Cochran-
An Edward Cochran(e), watchmaker, worked in Belfast btween c1815-39 (and possibly earlier and/or later)- information taken from old directories, etc.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
