Clean up and date photo please

Would it be possible to have a clean up of this photo and also could someone suggest a date for the photo and possibly an age for the young girl.  I believe the older woman may be my great grandmother, Mary Ward Kehoe (1859-1929).

Sorry...I had difficulty uploading the photo and now I see that it is huge.  How do I make it smaller??

Smaller - the larger the better for restoration.
POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.

I didn't think the restorers liked it being so big it was off the screen....as you can tell I haven't uploaded many pictures to this site.

I visit this thread regularly and am always so impressed by the work that everyone does.
