Hi

She was Polly Taylor and they married in 1932

Nelson Scarrott to Polly Taylor March qtr 1932 Rochford Volume 4A Page 1067

Births

Nelson Scarratt March qtr 1907  Rochford Volume 4a Page 709

The 1911 index for Rochford Essex shows his parents were Ellen b 1871 and Emanuel b 1867 - surname Scarratt

His siblings appear to be

Matilda 1896
Emanuel 1898
Alfred 1901
Sara 1904
Elijah 1910

I can't find a marriage but a copy of Nelson's birth cert will give Ellen's maiden name

You will find Emanuel senior on the 1881 census with his parents and siblings.  His birthplace is shown as Kent - the 1881 is free at http://www.rootschat.com/links/0ib/

I have already posted ancestor details but as Nelson and Polly only married in 1932 -any children of that marriage could still be living so we would not be allowed to post details on this board

If the info is more current than shown above - it may be better to use the pm system to send it to AJandY

There has been no reply since I posted on 29th May and AJandY has not been online since then

If you are their grandaughter then you should know that their daughter Barbara is still alive, who would be your Aunt and living in Thundersley.  She is the 'Oracle' on all these things and very useful.

Her father-in-law was my gt uncle hence the connection.

She is also on GU as well, but not sure if you checks it any more.

Best wishes

Jenny
