wagon and horses, but where.
« on: Sunday 30 May 10 21:57 BST (UK) »
This photo belongs to my wifes family, the most likely towns that it could be in are either Taunton or Bristol but she is not certain. If anybody recognises the pub and could tellus where it is we would be most grateful.  John.

There's a website called Bristol Information has some details of landlords
http://www.bristolinformation.co.uk/
You could try contacting them.  Some Burstons ran pubs in Bristol in 1800s so perhaps tradition was carried on?

Thankyou nameless and stan.I will have to do a bit more research. Stan, that doesn't look the same building, so maybe I am looking in the wrong place, strange about the landlords name matching though. Thanks, John.

Further to that, I have had a closer look at the photo and the sign on the delivery bike says; s.v. bailey. then something  I cannot read, then 119 East Reach. Also the sign over the arch says foresters hall before George Burston. The other advert is for a cab proprieter at 16 viney street. Trouble is the  structural difference of the two photos, everything else seems to point to stan being right. John.
