Mary Ann Sinclair

Hi!,

I am trying to trace back the parents of a direct line ancestor.

Mary Ann Sinclair was born 19 October 1803 Alloa, Clackmannanshire died Oct 1852.
From the IGI her parents were John Sinclair and Mary Mill married 4 May 1794.

Mary Ann Sinclair married David Mason 2 Dec 1825, Alloa.

I would like to find out more about Mary Ann Sinclair and her family and her parents family line and where they came from.

The Family oral tradition appears to say that she was associated with The Erskines and also that she was educated in Italy.
Family tradition also staes that she was disinherited because she married below her self.

28/10/1803 (born 19th) Mary Ann Erskine Sinclair  d/o John Sinclair & Mary Mill, Alloa

I Have an interest in the Erskine family myself through my GG grandma Catherine Ersine 1839 Auchterderran.

there is only 1 john sinclair b 1760 -1775 clackmannan on SP:

11/10/1761 John s/o Gilbert sinclair & Jean malcolm alloa
 
there are 3 mary mills. no Erskine names yet.
