FORD Sunninghill/Sonning/Windsor area
« on: Wednesday 02 June 10 12:09 BST (UK) »
Although I have done really well finding my Ford family tree from Sunninghill/Sonning area. I keep finding the middle name of Geary or Gary (spelt both ways on original documents). Can anyone find out where this unusual middle name came from? I have gone back as far as: Henry Geary Ford  1790-1840 (Windsor), Edward Gary Ford b.1814 (Sunninghill), Elizabeth Gary Ford b.1814. Edward Geary Ford 1845 etc. I really need to go back from Henry to see if it was his mothers maiden name but have not made any progress.

We can trace Geary as a middle name back to Edward Geary Ford born 1760, died 1835 Sunninghill, I think he was my 5xgreat grandfather!
